SheerID is a tool used to verify eligibility for the Ting Affordability Program (TAP). If you would like to learn more about the TAP program, see the Memphis Ting Affordability Program FAQ.
The Ting Affordability Program (TAP) is currently only available to our customers in Memphis, Tennessee. If you are not located in Memphis, Tennessee, the following may not apply.
On the Memphis Ting Town page, follow the link to “Get verified.”
If you are qualifying based on income alone (make no more than 30% above the Federal Poverty level for your family size), and are not a current program recipient, you should select "Other Government Assistance Recipient" under Status and select "Medicaid" under Government Assistance Program
SheerID will always attempt instant verification first, but you may be asked to upload additional documentation if they are not able to confirm your eligibility through database connections. If this is case for you, you will see the “Documentation Needed” message.
If you would like to finish your application at a later time (or need time to gather documentation), SheerID will email you a link to return to your application.
When this happens:
You may now continue with your order. As part of the TAP program, you are eligible to receive one free eero rental at the time of your install. To ensure you get this eero for free, please select Use my own device option under Step 2 when placing your order and your technician will offer you the free eero rental during your installation appointment.
If you would like to rent an additional router, you may do so by selecting the $11/month Whole Home Wi-Fi option.
Remember to enter the SheerID promo code at checkout to confirm your enrollment in the Ting Affordability Program.
Ting customer advisors are unable to see your information or status with SheerID. If your application was not approved and you think there has been a mistake, please visit the SheerID Low-Income FAQ to see if you are able to correct the issue with your verification.
