The Ting Affordability Program (TAP) is a discount program developed in response to the expiration of the Affordable Connectivity Program, which went into effect early 2024. Ting aims to increase the number of households in our Ting towns who can afford Ting’s fiber internet services, starting with our Memphis market. Unlike our competitors, Ting will always offer our highest-speed tier to customers regardless of their income level.
The Ting Affordability Program (TAP) is currently only available to our customers in Memphis, Tennessee. If you are not located in Memphis, Tennessee, the following may not apply.
A $49 discount is applied to all TAP-eligible customers, regardless of whether you would like to rent a router. So you will enjoy our fastest speeds (2Gbps Plan) at just $40 / month.
One eero router is available (at no cost to you) through the discount program if you would like to use it, you are also welcome to bring your own router.
A free eero rental will be available during installation -- do not select a Whole Home Wi-Fi option during the order flow unless you wish to have more than one eero to cover your home.
If you wish to add an additional eero beyond the free eero to your order, the associated rental cost is $11/month.

If you are a Memphis resident, you can apply to be part of TAP by going to ting.com/Memphis and completing the SheerID validation process.
Ting uses the SheerID digital verification system to validate you are eligible for our in-house discount program called TAP. The SheerID verification system connects with authoritative data sources to confirm your eligibility.

No, the verification process is NOT a credit check. SheerID only is used to check your eligibility for the discount program.
Most often, validation is immediate! If you are asked to upload documentation, the documentation review can take up to 20 minutes.
SheerID provides you with a unique code you can use to sign up for Ting Internet services. Simply apply the code in the promo code field during the checkout process to receive your TAP discount. You only need to do this at the beginning of your order and you’ll receive the same discount every month for 24 months.
Re-verification with SheerID will occur 24 months after your start of service, and you will receive communications from Ting when this is going to occur.
