Now that your home (or business) is Ting-ready, it’s time to get connected. Whether you’re setting up an eero for Whole Home Wi-Fi, a Zyxel router, or bringing your own, here’s how to get online.
Ready for Whole Home Wi-Fi? You’ll be up and running in just a few steps.
1. Download the eero app and create your eero account.
2. Use the included Ethernet cable to connect your eero’s WAN port to the fiber modem.
3. Power up your eero router. It’ll start blinking while it boots.
4. In the app, create your Wi-Fi network name and password.
Need the serial number? It’s on the bottom of the router–look for 'SN'.
5. Find spots in your home with a weak signal. Position nodes halfway between your gateway and those low-signal areas. Keep nodes visible. Avoid hiding them behind furniture or near other electronics.
6. Use the app to connect each node. The LED will flash blue while syncing and turn solid once connected.

The Zyxel router comes with four yellow Ethernet ports for wired connections. For the best performance, plug your devices directly into any of these ports using an Ethernet cable.
Look for a sticker on the side of the router. It will list your network name (SSID) and password.

🔄️ If the Wi-Fi network name (SSID) listed on the back of the router does not appear on any of your wireless devices, you may need to reset the router to its default settings.
If you're using your own router, connect the Internet or WAN port on your router to the Ting fiber modem with an Ethernet cable. Setup steps may vary by device, so consult your router’s manual.
