Checking for Service Outages in your Area
Service outages can be frustrating. At Ting, we want to minimize any outage impact on our customers. To get you back online as soon as possible, we need to identify the cause of the outage. Outages can caused by many factors including, but not limited to:
- Network disruptions: These are often caused by problems affecting the physical infrastructure, such as natural disasters like storms or earthquakes, power outages, or damaged cables.
- Maintenance: Planned maintenance to the physical infrastructure or system upgrades may temporarily affect your service.
- Technical issues: Equipment or software malfunctions, server errors, or software bugs that affect internet service.
Checking My Area for a Service Outage
Go to tinginternetstatus.com. We monitor all Ting services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In the event of a service disruption, we'll post information here to keep you informed of the current status.
Navigate to your region to see if there are any reported outages.

Each line represents one day. Hover over the day to see more information.
- Green indicates no service downtime.
- Orange signifies partial outage or downtown.
- Red means a major outage or downtime.
Clicking on a line will bring up more details about specific Ting towns within your region.

- Review your payment information.
If that doesn't resolve your issues, please contact us.

If you are experiencing an issue with your internet connection, and there is no outage reported in your area, there may be an issue with your equipment. You can check that all your hardware is set up correctly by following our Troubleshoot your Ting Fiber connection help article.
Check for payment issues
More detailed instructions can be found in the Adding or Updating a Payment Method on Your Ting Internet Account help article.
There are times when your payment may not go through. Usually, when this happens, it's because the card on file was compromised or expired -- we know it's not easy to remember every single company tied to each card! Thankfully, it's pretty easy to fix.
- Log in at Ting.com/account (or Legacy.ting.com/account) to get things updated.
- Navigate to Account Settings on that blue bar on the side.
- Under the Payment Method section, click the Update payment method link to get things changed over (it will automatically retry the payment once updated).
