Opting Out of Service Text Messages
As a Ting customer, you are opted into real-time communications on the status of any outage and repairs to service in your area via text (SMS) messaging. No need to call in -- you are automatically sent alerts straight to your phone!

Changing the Phone Number for Text Message Alerts
If you want to update which phone number you receive text message (SMS) alerts, simply update the phone number in your account. Once this has been updated in your account, your contact information for SMS alerts will be updated automatically within 24 hours.
Step 1: Log into your account

- Go to https://ting.com/sign-in and sign into your account.
- Once you've logged in, you will be brought to the Plan Overview page.
- Go to the My account dropdown in the upper right corner of the screen
- Select Account Settings to edit your account profile settings.
Step 2: Update your phone number
Once in Account settings, you can enter your preferred phone number. Click Update to save your changes.
Please be aware that it may take up to 24 hours for your changes to be updated in our system.

Stopping Text Message Alerts as an Active Ting Customer
If you would like to stop receiving text messages as an active Ting Customer, simply respond "STOP" to the number sending you the alerts. You will be removed from the SMS alert list.
Removing your Phone Number when Transferring Service
When you stop Ting internet service, you will automatically removed from the SMS list within 24 hours of service being disconnected. If you are still receiving alerts or have any concerns, please contact us.
