Canceling your Domain Registration Subscription
Auto-renew is a feature you can toggle on in your account to automatically pay for your domain registration each year, so you don't have to remember to do it manually. If you no longer need a domain name, turning off auto-renew is the easiest way to cancel your registration subscription.
Turning Off Auto-renew to Cancel your Domain
To turn off auto-renew and cancel your domain, follow these steps.
Step 1
Log in to your Ting Domain account: tingdomains.com/site/login
Step 2
On the Your Domains page, toggle off Auto-renew next to the domain you want to cancel.

Or, on Your Domains page, click the Manage link next to the domain’s Expiry Date.

On the Overview tab, under Domain Information, set the auto-renew toggle to off.

Domain Expiration and Deletion Timeline
After turning off auto-renew, you don't need to do anything else to make the unwanted domain disappear.
Most registries offer a grace period and a recovery period to prevent domains from being lost by accident or forgotten to renew. This means that after the registration expires, the domain won't disappear immediately. It will be inactive but recoverable.
However, once the grace period and recovery time end, the domain will enter the deletion phase. The registry will remove the registration information from the database, and the domain will then disappear from your domain management account.
