Transfer Ting to your new address
Moving and want to bring your Ting Internet service with you? Here's how to get set up before move-in day.

1. Confirm availability
- Check if Ting is available at your new home.
2. Place your order
- Create your Internet order for your new address.
- Log into your existing Ting account if you want to keep it the same.
3. Schedule your installation
- Schedule your installation at your new home as soon as you can
- The sooner you schedule, the sooner we can complete the outside work so you're ready to connect on move-in day. See below for how installation works.
- You can schedule up to 28 days in advance.
4. Disconnect service at your current home
- Contact us to schedule disconnecting service at your current home.
- When it's time, we'll handle canceling your Ting Internet service at your old address on the date you choose.
How installation works
Getting Ting installed involves two separate steps, and understanding both will help you plan.
Outside first (the "drop"): Before a technician can set up service inside your home, we connect a box on the outside of your home to the nearest point on our neighborhood fiber network. This is called the drop. It's the first step and needs to happen before your indoor installation can be scheduled.
Then inside: On installation day, a technician runs the fiber from that outside box into your home and connects it to a small device called an ONT — think of it as your Internet jack. Your router plugs into it and you're online.
You need both steps completed to have an active connection. Scheduling early gives us time to finish the outside work before you move in, so your Internet can be live on day one.
Activate service at a Ting ready home
Moving to a new home that has Ting Internet service installed already?
Sweet, you're already so close to fast fiber. 🔥
1. Confirm availability
- Confirm Ting Internet is available at your new home.
2. Place your order
- Start your order at your new address.
- Create your Ting Internet account.
- Choose your router option: Whole Home Wi-Fi or Bring your own router.
3. Schedule your installation
- Since Ting’s fiber is already connected to your home, activation can often happen the same day you move in — as long as you request service in advance and the inside equipment (ONT) is still in working order.
