From Jan 1, 2025, there is a new line item on your Ting bill: the Infrastructure Tax Passthrough. This charge helps us recover government-mandated taxes and fees that the company pays–like local property taxes and regulatory costs–that go into keeping your internet up and running.
Starting Jan 1, 2025, you’ll see a line on your bill labeled Infrastructure Tax Passthrough.
If you're part of the Ting Affordability Program or the Affordable Connectivity Program, you won’t be charged this fee.
The fee is reviewed every year. If it turns out we’re collecting too much or not enough, we'll adjust to match the companies actual tax obligations.
What is this fee actually for?
It helps Ting recover federal, state, and local taxes related to building, maintaining, and operating our network. That includes things like property tax and compliance costs.
Why am I being charged now?
This lets us recover certain costs that we continue to incur to stay compliant with government mandates, programs and obligations.
