Every phone and SIM card has unique identifiers that help us activate your device and ensure it’s compatible with Ting. Here’s how to locate these important numbers.

What is an IMEI?

Your IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) is a unique number assigned to your phone. It identifies the device’s manufacturer, model, and supported brands and frequencies. This number helps us check if your phone works with Ting and is required for activation.

How to find your IMEI

iPhone
  • Dial: Enter *#06# on your iPhone dial pad.
  • In Settings: Go to Settings > General > About.
  • On the Box: If you still have the box your iPhone came in, the IMEI is printed on the back.
Android
  • Dial: Enter *#06# on your phone's dial pad.
  • In Settings: Go to Settings > About Phone.
  • On the Box: If you still have the box your phone came in, the IMEI is printed on the back.

What is a SIM card number?

Your SIM card has a unique 20-digit identifier called the ICCID (Integrated Circuit Card Identification). This number is essential for linking your Ting service to your phone

Where to find your SIM card number (ICCID)

  • Look on the back of your Ting SIM card, under the barcode.
  • The number is also printed on the smaller portion of the SIM card itself.
  • Ting SIM card numbers always start with “89”.
