Long distance call troubleshooting

Looking to stay connected to friends and family around the world? Awesome. If you run into any issues, we’re here to help. For a quick overview of long-distance calling rates, check out our long-distance calling guide.

Try these steps

1. Double-check the number you’re calling

Make sure you’ve included the correct exit code (011 for calls from the U.S.) and the appropriate country code. Find country codes here.

2. Restart your phone

A quick reboot can solve many issues.

3. Test a local call

Ensure your phone can make regular local calls.

4. Try a different number

Test a call to another number in the same area (like a local business) to see if the issue is specific to one number.

5. Dial manually

If you’re using a saved contact, try typing the number manually instead.
